Olympic Torch weekend and at home - Leica M9, Voigtlander lenses

Waiting for a glimpse of the Olympic torch! To many people and only caught the torch carriers' rear end!  But still had a fab time and took some nice shots in the crowd.  The rest of the weekend I snapped a few pics at home.

British summer!

Variety of photographic activity over the weekend! Leica M9 and Voigtlander 15mm, 35mm, 75mm

Over the weekend, I had several opportunities to use the camera. All in different locations with different styles of photography.  It started with some fashion photos for a final year prom. Then of to my sons price giving where I shot some pics from the balcony with the Voigtlander 75mm, f2.5 in low light (some young talented dancers).  Quick stop kids birthday party for some brake dancing and finally a nice walk in the New Forest!

Peter Pan meats Power Rangers!

Smiling is in the eyes! - Leica M9 and Voigtlander 75mm, f2.5

Over the years I have been privileged to work on and with some extraordinary people.  I have had the opportunity to create this photo book of portraits after each person completed their journey. "Smiling is in the eyes!" is my first photobook and hopefully the first of many. Click on link below!

Experimental weekend - Leica M9, Voigtlander 75mm, f2.5, Leica SF20 flash, Fotodiox adaptor with older Nikkor 70-300mm, f3.5-5.6, 50mm, f1.8, 28mm, f2.8

Played around with different options over the weekend.  Firstly with The Leica SF20 flash.  Due to the high speed lenses I use on my M9 body, I do not regularly use a flash.  But after seeing some interesting shots from some well known Leica users, I decided to experiment a bit.  Then Fathers day turned up and I got a Fotodiox Nikon to Leica M adaptor, which opened a whole new window regarding the use of some of my old Nikon lenses.  The learning curve is steep as you cannot use the rangefinder focus system.  Here we go!

Voigtlander 35mm, f1.4 no flash

With Leica SF20 flash and a very co-operative model!

With Nikon 50mm on adaptor and SF20 flash - prefocused

Nikkor 70-300 on macro

Nikon 50mm, f1.8, slightly softer look but the sharps are sharp

Nikon 28mm, f2.8 - very old lens
