Leica M9 with Voigtlander 35mm/f1.4 classic.  My first thoughts on the black and white straight out of camera are that they are pretty good.  Even in very low light conditions the lens and sensor coped beautifully.

Leica M9 in South Africa











It was inevitable! Once you are in the street photography/rangefinder mode, you slowly get exposed to Leica and that leads to the "new" Leica M9. I already had two lenses from Voigtlander (35mm/f1.4 and 15mm/f3.5). Both great lenses to use on the Panasonic GF1. I had to decide how I was going to get hold of the very appealing and expensive M9. I had a 40th on the way and directed every resource and whishlist in that direction. My dream came true and I'm now a proud owner of a Leica M9. I'm still getting the hang of the rangefinder but it has certainly opened a whole new world of exciting photography. My first opportunity happened to be South Africa
